Photonics and Space



Photonics is the study or application of electromagnetic energy whose basic unit is the photon. It involves the generation, emission, transmission, modulation, signal processing, switching, amplification, detection and sensing of light. Photonics industries include optics, laser technology, electrical engineering, materials science, and information storage and processing.
